Guest guest
Hey just thought I would pass on I watched the Dr. Oz that goes on Opah all the time, on a episode of all these do' and don'ts and he said that Croc's are very bad for the foot. I really forget why, but he said no one should wear, I was very surprised as I have always wanted a pair and when worked in healthcare, almost got a pair to wear to work as I was on my feet all day. I have a different clog, and to me when one has to be on there feet all day I think you just plain hurt after awhile, but do see alot of nurses and Dr's wearing them. Come to think of it though I thought I have seen that Dr. on, in a crock shoe???????? Well if you have them like you said pad them for comfort as the are expensive, and I like the look. They are ok, but don't offer much support or comfort. However, I noticed the Diabetic Crocs can fit orthotics, so you could put in foot pads. I just researched out foot pads and the Pinnacle Power Step sounds really good. I just ordered them. There is a description and reviews on www.heelspurs.com. They are supposed to have arch support, so if you don't want that, they have several other to choose from, but they are supposed to have lots of cushioning! I did notice my hair stylist wears them, so they must be comfortable since she is on her feet all day. Did you look them up on Amazon? Then you could read reviews on them. Since I have Plantar Faciitis I cannot walk around barefoot and slippers are horrible for PF, so I bought the Crocs for around the house. Now, I'm thinking about the Diabetic Crocs so I can put the Pinnacle Power Step in them. I just can't afford another pair of them right now. ~Jill Comfy shoes??? Okay - I have GOT to get comfy shoes for work. HELP! I usually wear tennis shoes - only some days they feel so heavy that by the end of the day I can't walk. Someone suggested Berkinstocks - they are not only very pricey - I'm not sure they are " soft " enough for me. My feet HURT - they have hurt ever since the fibro/neuropathy whatever attached them in 2007. I'm thinking of the diabetic crocs with diabetic socks - anyone have the diabetic crocs? in Phx --------------------------------- You rock. Guest guest
Sharon, Most Crocs are really bad for your feet. We are referring to the rx crocs with built in cushioning and arch support. They are specifically made for PF and Diabetes. Podiatrists even sell them in their offices. Jill Comfy shoes??? Okay - I have GOT to get comfy shoes for work. HELP! Guest guest
Actually, I have found my Crocs (the other kind) to be very supportive to my feet next to my Birkenstock sandals. But I may eventually look at getting the other kind too because of my orthotics (of which I hate with a passion). I have also found that my feet do not hurt when I wear my Crocs. My Podiatrist hasn't said I can't wear them (not that I would give them up any way because I won't). Everyone's situation is different. Guest guest
Kristy, Exactly.....what ever works for someone doesn't always work for others or is dr. recommended. But if it brings relief, then I say do it. Jill Re: Comfy shoes??? Crocks Actually, I have found my Crocs (the other kind) to be very supportive to my feet next to my Birkenstock sandals.
