Guest guest
Debra V., I'd like to add to your post. I found out last week at the ER for abdominal pain, that my liver enzymes are high. I'm not a drinker, I don't take many prescriptions (none that contain acetiminophen) and don't take any herbal supplements. Occassionally I would take an Excedrin Migraine (250 mg of acetiminophen). They doctors are still baffled as to why my enzymes are so high. They were a lot higher Tuesday than they were last Friday and yesterday they were a little lower but still WAY above normal. It is very important to get blood work done, especially if you are taking something that can cause damage to your liver. It doesn't matter if it is prescription or OTC. So please, anyone that is taking a lot of Tylenol or anything containing acetiminophen, get blood work done specifically for the liver. I've been vomiting for 9 days (my ER sucks and refused to give me anythingin my IV, instead gave me a rx for pills...yeah right. I throw up everything) and will not see the GI until Wednesday. Hopefully then they can figure out what it going on. I never knew until now how serious of a problem meds can be for your liver. in NM --------------------------------- Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Mobile. Try it now. Guest guest
That is strange. You got me thinking now. I take a lot of Tylenol...everyday like 3000-4000 mg a day. I suppose i need to cut it down a lot. jaimeislove@...> wrote: Debra V., I'd like to add to your post. I found out last week at the ER for abdominal pain, that my liver enzymes are high.
