Guest guest
Well I guess my post from last night got lost in cyberspace.....I'm trying again. I had a horrible night last night. I have RLS. I've had it for about 3-4 years and they have me on Rquip. Well it's been getting worse to where it goes on all day long too. they have put me on Reequip 1mg. 3 times a day. and 2mg. at bed time. If I even miss one dosage during the day I'm in trouble. Now here's the rub...Yesterday & last night I took all my pills as soon as I got in bed it started. I was up walking the floors and wiggling my legs till my husband said take another pill!!! I did and it calmed down, I went to bed and got woke up with my legs moving all over the bed... here we go AGAIN. It finally stopped or I finally wore myself out from all the walking & wiggling, I'm not sure which. Does anyone out there have Restless leg too and is this another side effects of Fibro????? I will have to up the dosage again if this does stop.... I feel like my body is turning against me and I don't know which way to turn... I thought Fibro was bad enough and Long QT syndrom on top of it,but now this???? I thought I was managing the RLS but it seems to be getting worse...Is this related to Fibro???.....Hinky
Guest guest
Hinky, I get the RLS some as well. Not sure if it's the fibro or the herniated disc in my back. You may need to see a Neurologist. Maybe something is pinched off in your back like mine. There are many nights I lay there and can't get comfortable due to my legs. They have like a crawly thing going on. Don't know what it's from. Talk with your doctor cause there could be other issues at hand. Debra B Gladewater, Texas Restless legs & Fibro Well I guess my post from last night got lost in cyberspace.. ...I'm trying again. Guest guest
Hi Hinky - I do not have RLS, but I was wondering if you could take something for anxiety at bedtime along with your requip? I take 2 mg. of Klonopin in the evening, because I will stress myself out worrying about sleeping, especially if there is something going on the next day where I really need a good night's rest. You need to tell your doc that the Requip by itself isn't doing it for you. Good luck and take care. Jeanne in WI
Guest guest
---Debra, Yes, I have been seeing a neuroligist for it and he's the one who put me on requip 3x a day and 1 before bed. He told me it was a chemical in our brains that decreases as we age I'm 59 this month. He said that it could also be a lack of iron. He did a blood test to see if it was the iron but it wasn't. so since Fibro is a chemical imbalacne I was courious if it had anything to do with Fibro. Guess the only way to find out for sure is to ask him next time I see him. He knows I have Fibro too. I hope you don't get it worse as you age Debra. Thanks for answering....Hinky In Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , debra bunt wrote: > > Hinky, > I get the RLS some as well. Not sure if it's the fibro or the herniated disc in my back. Guest guest
Hi Hinky, So sorry for the RLS. My hubby has it, but no fibro. I don't know about the relationship to fibro, but who knows. Anything is possible. I hope it calms down for you. Hugs, /Mi Restless legs & Fibro Well I guess my post from last night got lost in cyberspace.....I'm trying again.
