Guest guest
ok, I believe i posted this to my other fibro group and dident recieve any responce, if it was here Im sorry for reposting. I have to give a little history. I am married and disabeled with 4 young kids ages 8, 6, 5, and 10 months. I dont drive unless i have too and only in town. so when I have to go to the doctor my husband has to drive me because my doc is an hour away. I dont drive because it causes extream pain and panic attacks among many other thing Im sure you all understand. Ok, heres the problem, My husband had to miss a signifigant amount of work due to my illness and appointments. some days i cant get out of bed to care for myself let alone the kids. There for he has had to miss work. Now, they are threateng his job due to absenteesim because of me. So he was told to apply for FMLA (family medical leave act) He could get it itermittendt so it would cover any time he would have to miss because of me, as long as its a documented medical condition. it would cover up to 12 weeks a year. i know my doctor will sign the papers, hes the one who pushed for my disability. my question is does anyone have any experiance with the FMLA, OR advice or anything, i need something. i dont know how any of this works. also, please excuse my spelling i never could spell even before the fibro. Take care ~~
