taking some pictures to work... how I have aged

The people at work have been asking me to bring some pictures of me from the

past. I have gathered up a few from at least 4 years ago. I don't look like

the same person. I have aged unbelievably in just this last 5 years. I look so

much older ahead of my time. That is what fibro got for me. It not only robbed

me of my life as it was, but also took away the pretty young woman I was a mere

5 years ago.

Damn it.

Debra,

I know exactly what you mean. It's not bad enough that we have to deal

with all the aches & pains of fibro, but we can't even feel pretty

while doing it. It's not fair. I look & feel like I've aged 10 or 15

years in the past 3. People used to tell me that I looked young for

my age...well, that doesn't happen anymore. I used to feel pretty &

had fairly decent self-esteem but thanks to fibro & everything it

brought with it (weight gain, thinning hair, bad skin tired eyes),

that's gone now too. Depressing, isn't it.

Paint your toenails...sometimes that makes me feel better for a little

while.
