Guest guest
I feel like I hit what I call my fibro wall. I am overcome by extreme exhaustion and my mind just stops working and I get severe pain in specific places. I feel as if I don't lie down I'll just collapse right where I'm standing or sitting and pass out. It's really the pits when I'm not home and at the mall or in a store. It's the reason I don't go out by myself much anymore. I also have the " falling asleep a couple of hours after I get out of bed " situation at times. I hadn't really realized it was particularly a symptom of fibro, but of course I should have. I always just thought I was weird when it happened. Why would I just have to go to sleep when I'd just been up a little while? Had to be just me! I'm sorry this is happening to you too, but I have to say it is kind of comforting to know it's not just me. I've been off any stimulant medication now since last Thursday per my dr., and I am right back to my previous sleep cycle of having to go back to bed within a couple hours of getting out of bed. I'm supposed to see my psychiatrist for trying another med on Wed., that is if I can drag my no-energy self into see her. Jeanne in WI Hi, I am Sherri in Aurora, CO. I just wanted to respond to this strand. I just had one of those marathon sleep things today. My questions is, do any of you have the warning sign that it is going to be one of those marathon sessions? I do. About 10 minutes before I crash, I start shaking and feeling desperate to lay down. Guest guest
I also feel like the plug has been pulled and it usually is not too long after I got out of bed. It was much worse when I was drinking diet sodas. Since reading everyone else's post I realize I've had fibromyalgia much longer than I thought. It just gotten worse with each accident and traumatic experience until someone finally put a label on it. > My body feels like someone's pulled my energy plug, and I just have to go back to bed. Guest guest
I'm right there with you today Jeanne. I had to call in because I simply could NOT get up this morning This is not good for me as I HAVE to work. My boss, when he gets back tomorrow, is not going to be pleased. However I have asked if I can go on four ten-hour days (I work 9 hour days now and have every other Friday off) and have every Friday off. That will give me 3 days at home to rest. 2 days just doesn't seem to be enough. I am out of muscle relaxers until I see my PCP on 5/1. I had a full prescription and I believe my cleaning lady stole them when I fired her. She's the only one that has been in the house. Yea, I'm real happy about that - not! I have no proof so I'm out. I hope you feel better soon. Hugs in Phx Jeanne and Dave djgraves9497@...> wrote: My body feels like someone's pulled my energy plug, and I just have to go back to bed. Guest guest
Oh I'm so sorry that you are going through this so young and with a two year old. You should be pain free and feeling great and being able to enjoy every miinute of being a mother. I just hate it that so many in this group are struggling so young with this damned illness. It is a really nasty phenomenon, isn't it! Who would ever understand it but all of us! Take care of yourself and that baby, Marti Andersen Lander2004@...> wrote: Me too, me too!! Guest guest
Hi Marti, I guess I didn't explain that too good.....I'm a nanny and the 2 year old is my baby that I care for!!! I'm 57, but she feels like she's mine...I've watched her since before she was born!!! I was never lucky enough to have kids, but being a nanny has blessed me over the years with lots of them!!! My first one I took care of just got married at the age of 22 and I still keep in touch with the family. That is so neat. I do hate seeing them all grow up though. Take care, /Mi Re: Body signals/nap needed immediately I feel like I hit what I call my fibro wall.
