Have a question about the pen pal deal. Was thinking of participating

but honestly my life is EXTREMELY boring. Just curious as to what type

of things everyone would be sending? letters? Postcards?

Just curious because for me, there's really nothing to " write " about.

Generally a rotation of writing materials keeps everything interesting.

With letters you can send clippings, photos, or simply put some

glitter in the folded pages and it's party time!

I feel ya. My life is super boring too. For me, I am going to ramble

some, much like I do here, and as far as WHAT to send... I like making

cards. I used to be a henna artist, and i was a member of an

international group of artists, and we decorated envelopes and sent

them to one another, showing off our l33t henna skilz...lol sorry

slipped into techno geek there.

anyways.. ive been working on make some cards, each one is unique to

the person I am making it for.

I doubt I will ALWAYS send those, because its time consuming, but

every now and then...

You can always send pictures too! I like to print pics on card stock

and make my own post cards. Office depot carries special photo papaer

for post cards that are very durable, and then scribble a note on the

back. Make the pic of something thats characteristic of you, or of

your hometown, what you care about ect

I also like to print out goofy stationary and write a quick note...

sometimes I go to dollar general and get apackage of 10 cards and

envelopes for a dollar... you know, for just a little " Hiya " note... :-)

you dont have to do any of that, its just some ideas... you can just

write it on a post it note, and put it in an envelope, im sure we all

are like me in the sense that if I get something that doesn't say

" Mrs. Schaber, you owe us $_______... " then I think its a good day...lol

as to what to write about... tell us about you, about your home town,

how you feel, your family, your pets, your favorite vacation....

whatever. Its about getting to know one another! :-)

Hi Suzanne,

I don't have any of those skills and don't go out much - particularly to a

store other than the pharmacy or grocery store. I go to doctor's appointments.

So I won't be sending anything at all original or hand made or printed on any

particular stock.

I hope it's alright if I just send cards. I have a lot of them and really

have no artistic talents.

Me too . I hardly ever even leave the house. Nothing interesting goes on

except when I see my grand children which isn't that often. I'm also not

artistic and so would send just normal old cards. I don't know if people are

looking for something special or not.

I'm beginning to feel a little overwhelmed.

Of course girl! But I happen to know you are interesting to talk to,

so you make up for it with a sparkling personality! :-)

Me, I look at paper and go " Um... hmm... well... " then start doodling,

hence me and my painting...lol Im boring, so I have to rely on sparkly

things.. lol!

time, so dont be surprised if I send yall seriously decorated

enveloped...lol I always loved mail art...

Im also into painting alot so I sometimes do hand painted cards and

stuff for special occasions...

beyond that, I am jsut weird so I like to print out and use weird

stationary...heheh

fair warning! :-)

I am actually excited about this.. i know thats childish I guess, but

still... It sounds fun.

Hi Marti,

Don't feel overwhelmed, but I know what you mean. Especially since I heard they

are raising the price of stamps again!! I think we all have to agree that we

don't need to write to everyone....and not all the time. Certain people connect,

etc...this is a fun great idea...but we don't want it to feel too big to handle

or a something we HAVE to do. Ideas, people??

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some

treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain

health conditions or just dangerous in general.

better.

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

of humor.
