I think I have a mild version of Chronic Fatigue, Tigger. There are

some weekends that I sleep the entire weekend away. And some days

where I can not make it through the day without spending my lunch hour

napping in my car and then taking a short nap just to get through the

drive home.

I've often wondered if I have both. I don't think I've ever slept for a whole

day, though. For me, it's just the constant, chronic fatigue that never totally

goes away.

Do many of you suffer from fibro and Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. I few weeks

ago I slept for 2 days. Yesterday I slept all day. These a why I lost my

job. plus I had a doctor then who would give me meds. and boss didn't like

that.

I agree with you - I have days where all I need to do is sleep and I

always, always sleep a lot on weekends. And I don't stay up late at night cuz I

have to be to work by 6:30.

If I DON'T get my sleep - that is when I know a flare is coming. I seem to

have insomnia right before and then I have to sleep for a long time.

1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as

to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some

treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain

health conditions or just dangerous in general.

2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be

afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation

better.

4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the

same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something

another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member

may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal

with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense

of humor.

5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let

us know so that we can do our best to offer our support.

Have a nice day everyone.

Tigger,

I do have both fibro and CF. Between the severe pain and unrelenting fatigue, I

struggle to function. I have to go back to work, so right now I'm desperate to

find new things to help me. I'm also concerned about who is going to hire

someone who takes oxycodone and morphine. How did your employer find out about

your meds? Was it a random drug test? Where did you work? Is the fatigue new

to you? Isn't it brutal to deal with on top of the pain and all the other fun

things that go along with fibro?

Hi Tig,

I might have a touch of CFS since I am always sleepy. My husband

won't let me sleep in, even on weekends. But when he is at work I nap

sometimes.
