Guest guest
Does this dumba$$ rheumatologist NOT KNOW that muscle spasms are a SYMPTOM of fibromyalgia???????? We all have muscle spasms along with the host of all the other wonderful symptoms that are compliments of fibro. So, I guess this means that if we have muscle spasms, we don't have fibromyalgia though it sure is a symptom of fibro. That is like saying " you don't have flu, it is just body aches with fever and a respiratory infection " ... Or " you don't have diabetes, your blood sugar is just high all the time " . Makes no damn sense. Where the hell are these people coming from? Do they research or read anything new about this disease?????? IDIOTS. Debra V. My pcp told me i may have fibro my orthopedic told me I have fibro A neurosurgeon told me I have fibro A rheumotologist told me I have fibro My pcp sent me to another rheumotologist who did loads of blood test and told me she thinks it's muscle spasms. UGH, I am so aggravated I don't know what to think and my PCP told me he couldn't help me anymore because I can't take Lyrica it makes me dizzy and stuff and Cymbalta makes me throw up. So I don't know what to do. I am just taking Lortabs when I absolutley cannot take the pain. Any suggestions because noone seems to know what my problem is but I hurt so much. The rhuemo that told me I had muscle spasms is making me go to PCCT therapy. I start that next monday please pray that it helps me. Thanks and hope everyone else is doing good. Guest guest
I get bad muscle spasms but don't have a muscle relaxant for them. My rheum gave me Neurontin and said I don't need the relaxant also. When I saw him today he did ask if I was still taking Soma, and I said nooo. Then he asked if I am on Flexeril and I said NO! So finally he looked at copies of my records and said ok you are on Neurontin. Duh! Debbie L > > Does this dumba$$ rheumatologist NOT KNOW that muscle spasms are a SYMPTOM of fibromyalgia???????? Guest guest
DebbieL. Is Neurontin a better Rx than Soma??? I know Soma is better than Flexeril....I have to take 3 Flexeril 10 MG to even faze me... Also....did you know that Docs can also prescribe Valliium as a Muscle Relaxer....it was given to me in the hospital (and also when I came home after surgery) for surgery on tendon repair....it is supposed to be better than Soma!!! Well....sometimes I do not think so....it depends on how I am feeling elsewise.... It is the old timey " nerve drug " of the 70's..... Take care,
Guest guest
Thanks for responding . No, Neurontin is not a better Rx than Soma which really helped me. Maybe should ask my PCP for the Valium tben. My muscles are really cramping up today so will have to put up with them since Neurontin doesn't help much. hugs, Debbie L > > > >
