Guest guest
Hi Kris and welcome to our wonderful group! You have questions, we have answers! Yes, it is possible to become anorexic after gastric bypass. My goal was to weigh 150 lbs and I now weigh 133 lbs and it hasn't been a year yet. Dec 16 I will be 1 year out. I am still losing weight but I am happy where I am now. I am 5'8 " and 133 lbs so I am pretty thin, but my surgeon says if it doesn't stop soon, there are some sort of pills they will give me to help the weight loss to stop. I can't imagine having to take something so I won't lose anymore! I was 298 lbs when I started and 133 lbs now, it is awesome!! Anyhow, welcome to the group. in CA
Guest guest
wow! what a weight loss! congratualations! i actually can imagine what it's like being told you're too thin. When i was going through the initial process of this I was told that I would have to GAIN 12 pounds in order to qualify lol. I just looked at her and said " forget that! i'm not going to gain weight in order to lose weight " . luckily i didn't have to gain because i have enough co-morbidities. kris From the outbox of greenie
Guest guest
Hey Kris welcome! You sound a lot like me. I'm 5'2 " and weigh 220. I am in insurance limbo going for appeal number 2. I also have 3 beautiful girls. They are 8, 5 and 3 and I can't wait for my surgery to get approved so I can stop watching and start living. Cindy greenie_673 greenie_673@...> wrote: 1. Name: Kris 2. Guest guest
I had to gain about 12 lbs to qualify and I have no co-morbidities. I topped out at 290. I weighed in today at 257.2. Surgery date set for January 3rd. Re: Well here I am! Allllll of me! wow! what a weight loss! congratualations! i actually can imagine what it's like being told you're too thin.
