Guest guest
That's a lot less than I eat and I've never done shakes or bars regularly. But then I'm 10 months out too. > > I had RNY on 09/06, and I am down fifty pounds. I feel great, but I > wonder if I am eating enough. Guest guest
Mike, what does your ten months out look like? I am trying to up my eating. What is a typical day? If you don't mind... thanks lisa
Guest guest
Just by guestimating, it looks like you are getting in about 80-90g of protein a day, which is excellent. I didn't add up the calories but I was told, protein first, then colored veggies, then carbs if I had any room left (which I don't imagine I will). More importantly is fluids. Are you getting in at least 64 oz a day? I think it sounds just about like what I was told to eat except I'm supposed to start cutting out the snack after a certain point but I'm not sure when that is. in MI > > I had RNY on 09/06, and I am down fifty pounds. Guest guest
I wake up and eat a bowl of special K cereal (the low carb high protein kind) about 1.5-2 servings with a cup of vanilla soymilk. I'm out of cereal so I eat a can of turkey chili. This is about 4am. I have a banana and apple at 9:30-10:00am I have a healthy choice meal about 200-250 calories for lunch at about noon. I have 8-12 oz of spicy hot v8 around 1:30pm Around 3pm or later at 4pm when I pick my daughter up I might have some string cheese (2-3) and some turkey jerky or a mess of soy crisps or both. For dinner tonight I had a massive turkey sandwich. Massive in that it had red onions, extra tomatoes, pickles. I forgot the two slices of fat free cheese. I had a lot of turkey in there too from a turkey I cooked and cut up last week. I had fat free mayo and yellow mustard on it too. Sometimes at night around 9pm I'll have a bag of popcorn. Damn it I have healthy choice fudge bars and I didn't eat one tonight. Oh well, not hungry, too tired too. I'm off to bed….. This does vary but not much other than breakfast and dinner Mike in GR > > Mike, > what does your ten months out look like? I am trying to up my > eating. What is a typical day? Guest guest
Mike, would you happen to have any before and after pix to share with us? How long post-surgery are you? And here's a really dumb question for you: What does the GR stand for, as in " Mike in GR " ? (I'm thinking perhaps it's Grand Rapids, MI?) --Cat > > > > Mike, > > what does your ten months out look like? I am trying to up my > > eating. What is a typical day? Guest guest
The pictures are here = http://tinyurl.com/ygttrz The before picture is in the upper left and after, most recent, would be on the next page. I'm sort of small in that picture but the ones of me in a suit are from Oct 14. I think I might have lost another 15-20lbs and have been working out steadily since then for what that's worth. I had my surgery on Jan 20, 2006. My doctor counts the " start " as two weeks prior to that. GR is indeed Grand Rapids, MI however there is a Grand Rapids, OH which I have pictures of from a visit this past summer, a Grand Rapids, MN which while bigger than OH is quite remote and I've heard there's a Grand Rapids, ND that I might be able to visit this coming summer if we go to the West Coast by van. > > > > > > Mike, > > > what does your ten months out look like? Guest guest
Thanks for the url, Mike. Wow!! There was a really cute guy hiding under those size 6Xs. I'm glad you've let him come out to play. Congratulations on a job really well done. You look absolutely wonderful. That must have been a sweet reunion. --Cat > > The pictures are here = http://tinyurl.com/ygttrz The before picture > is in the upper left and after, most recent, would be on the next > page. Guest guest
I agree, Mike, you look great! You are quite the cutie! Thanks for the response, because it helps to have a picture of what post op looks like. I am trying to add more food into the picture, but it is a slow process for me. lisa > > Thanks for the url, Mike. Wow!! There was a really cute guy hiding > under those size 6Xs. Guest guest
Hi Mike, Your pictures are amazing!! You look great! You are a good looking guy. You have nice looking kids too. Do you notice now that people that would have never looked at you or given you the time of day now will look at you and even speak? I have!! I will have men waiting for me to hold the door open for me when before they would have let the door slam in my face! Amazing! Now if I could only find Mr. Right??? Oh well. No one can say this surgery isn't amazing and life-changing, eh? I was also wondering, how can you eat so much food over the course of the day? I can barely eat anything. In the morning I will have a packet of instant oatmeal then for lunch I will usually have some wheat thins and cheese and for dinner maybe a yogurt. I am never hungry and never crave anything. Should I be worried? Ok I look forward to hearing from you. Take Care, ~ in CA
Guest guest
If you want to hear details of all the wild stuff I dream up for the couple of dates I've had with this lady send me an email. I'm quite detailed, planned and elaborat. I get the feeling she's playing me a bit though because she just comes out and tells me what she likes and I action it. But if that's being played then bring it on. I'm 11 months out that's how I eat " so much " which I see as a normal amount. I'm hungry sometimes but it's usually if I don't eat for an hour or so after when I usually eat. I don't really crave anything. Sometimes spicey food or soy chips. I like vanilla soymilk too.
