you betcha, you need to drink some water before and after your massage.

and if you can you also need to rest afterwards. don't do any heavey work like

stuff.

after a massage your body is adapting back to having circulation that it hasn't

had because of muscle cramps and spasms.

i get mine but can only do 30 minute as opposed to 60 minute ones. 60 minute

massages put me on the ground just about.

how long are you getting yours for.

Mine are the hour long, but it takes her about 1 1/4 hours to get my whole body

done. I think my body will get used to it, and yes I do need to really increase

the water that day. I will keep the shorter sessions in mind. Thanks Diane.

Strange you should mention that. I did not say anything but last week when I

had my first massage, I felt so lightheaded when I got up from the table that I

thought I was going to lose my balance and fall. I was actually dizzy. I do

not attribute that to position change because I got up slowly and I never have

that feeling any other time. It was like I was just dizzy and I was very

careful when I walked out of the salon.

That feeling went away in about 15 or 20 minutes though.

Interesting.

I am trying to add regular massage therapy to my care regimen. After the first

massage a couple weeks ago,at 11:45 a.m., I got really weak in the muscles about

3 hours after the massage. I could barely make my legs work to walk upstairs to

go to bed. I don't remember how I slept that night.

OK, then had my 2nd massage on Wednesday, later in the day, at 3 p.m. I felt

that muscle relaxation, but not weakness immediately following the massage.

Around 10 p.m. I was in my daughter's room standing and suddenly got that

feeling that something wasn't right. I got clammy, felt like I might pass out,

and had to get to the toilet quickly. Could this be brought about from the

massage? I got into bed and ate some cheese and crackers because it felt like a

bloodsugar thing, even though I don't ever have problems with this.

Ha, my massage therapist called while I was typing this, so I asked her about

it. She said yes, if I didn't get enough water in, that could have caused it.

So, something to work on the next time I go.

Yes, I feel a little bit weak after getting off the table, too. I take it real

slow as I'm getting dressed again.
