Guest guest Posted April 3, 2008 Report Share Posted April 3, 2008 I got a call from my brother this morning and someone told him that I am now #3 on the list at the apartments and can be #1 within the next few weeks. OMG, I have such mixed feelings and so much to do, but I'm also in so much pain. Where do I begin and I really don't want to leave my house. My life is about to change dramatically and I'm so afraid of the future. It's not that I don't want to move. you all know I have no other choice, but I'm spinning in circles right now because it's just so overwhelming. I don't even know what I can pack because before you can move in there, you have to have a mover pack things and everything has to be fumigated so you don't bring any bugs in. I think that's a good idea, but. This was not the phone call I expected to wake up to. I know in my heart it's good news, but it is also sad in a way. Now we are trying to figure out how to sneak the cats in. LOL I want to thank you all for your prayers. As usual it has helped tremendously. Everyday, I look around at my beautiful house and try to sear pictures of it into my head. It's so hard to look around and know your time is limited there. It's causing me so much anxiety and I know it's not good for my health. I guess we just have to take a deep breath and realize it's for the best. You need to let go (easier said than done) but you don't need your pain getting any worse. Especially, since you are not receiving the pain meds you need! Try to focus on how exciting it's going to be in a new place! Take pics of your current home and put it in an album so you'll always have something to remember it by. And make sure you get your kitties in there with you!!!!! Pets are the best for relieving stress! I hope your brother is going to help you pack........... Take Care, Jill Good news or bad news? I was looking outside today at all the things needing doing, and I thought, how the heck am I going to do this if I can't walk??? We live with my Mom to take care of her, and she has a lot of property, hence a lot of yard work..have tried repeatedly to get her to sell, but at 97 she is pretty set in her ways.
