Guest guest
I guess I was lucky to be diagnosed as quickly as I was. It still seemed like an eternity as I went through every test in the book as I was getting worse and worse. Now maybe you can continue to see some significant improvement each day. It is such a frustrating disease to learn to manage! Guest guest
When you get to where the bath is available,.. Remember not to get " Calagon take me away " confused with the " Nestea plunge " . Soap suds everywhere. Ker-Splash!!!
Guest guest
First to ! I like that idea of Calgon take me Away! Only problem with that is that our tub just grosses me out, taking a shower is a completely different feeling. I do hope that one of the bathrooms in the new house will have a tub that looks inviting next week! Since we have not seen the house since December 27th, it's going to be like finding a lot of new surprises!! But a bath would be great --- just that I used to get very spoiled using Chloe bath powder and I don't know if they still make that (need to check drugstore.com, note to self!) Now, to ! I do wish I could find something other than crawling in bed with a book to relax me but on the other hand, perhaps the pedicure and massage I am treating my self to tonight will help relax me! I suddenly realized yesterday that I might want to wear the new pee toe shoes tomorrow and need a pedicure to do that! Also went to the driver's license center and got my picture taken for the new license, at least with my hair a lot longer, the picture doesn't look quite as bad as the old one. Just wonder how long I can drive in Illinois with a PA license before someone sends me a notice!! I had hoped to take care of that before now but that's not happening. And I am still stumbling over things in the house, almost fell at least twice today!!! Will be glad when the move is over!!! But also wish this house was ready to go on the market. These are just a few of the things that are hanging over my head and that are aggravating the pain. Oh, and I did write something to CNN, think I just wandered around with out much point to the posting! But at least it was one more person from this group asking them to do something!!! > > I have been fighting with the doc's for over a year now about being > diagnosed with Fibro. Guest guest
Hi , I know, when I'm really in pain, I just want to be by myself, well maybe my kitty Larry! Nobody bugging me asking questions...nothing....just lay and read or watch tv.....it's all about me at times like that and I think a person needs that. Love, Finally medically diagnosed I have been fighting with the doc's for over a year now about being diagnosed with Fibro. I would hear, " you MIGHT have it " , or " you COULD have it, but we aren't sure " or " we THINK it COULD be Fibromyalgia but we are going to check you for everything else first " . I got so tired of hearing all that that I quit going to doc's completely, well you all know what that did, nothing for the pain. Well I finally went back to my family doc yesterday because the pain got so bad and she FINALLY diagnosed me with Fibromyalgia on paper instead of beating around the bush like all the other doc's have done. She gave me some meds for the pain but I only take one a day for the first week, 2/day for the next week and the 3/day for the next week and then I need to go back and see her. I took my first one lastnight and within 2 hours my body had relaxed enough that I could sit on the couch and just chill and not be in tears from the pain. I woke up this morning in my normal pain so we will see how the day goes, I'm going to try to keep a positive attitude today so then hopefully it won't get so bad. For those that are having stressful days, I find what works for me is to lock myself in my bedroom with a good " chick flick " , I love girly movies and they seem to calm me down. If you can't do that just find a quiet spot and sit there for a few minutes and tell yourself, " I'm going to be fine, the stress is going to mellow out and I WILL get through this " , but you have to say it more than once, repeating it over and over again for a few minutes kind of convinces your mind that you can handle the stress. I have found if I do that it really helps on the days I can't hide in my bedroom, which with 5 kids, 4 of them living at home my " alone " moments don't happen often. I also envy those of you that can take long hot showers. I took a shower this morning and it wasn't as bad as the others have been but it still felt like my skin was being ripped off my body by the water. I can't wait to get my big bath tub, when I get the money to completely redo my bathroom, that's going to be a while. Take care everyone and I hope you all have a pain free day.
