Guest guest
WHAT IF IT WAS THE DRS KID (YES, I KNOW I'M YELLING- I CAN'T HELP IT) THE DRS KID GOT DIAGNOSED WITH ASTHMATIC BRONCHITIS BUT REALLY THE POOR TYKE HAS CYSTIC FIBROSIS. IT IS FIRST EXAM AND KID IS COUGHING, WHEEZING, IS CONSTIPATED HAS UPSET STOMACH. SO WHAT IS THE TREATMENT? ARE THE SYMPTOMS PSYCHOLOGICAL? LETS HOLD OFF ON DOING A FULL WORK-UP AND TREAT IT AS ASTHMATIC BRONCHITIS. WE GIVE THE KID A RESCUE INHALER (AND MAYBE SOME ASTHMA MANAGEMENT DRUGS), SOME ANTIBIOTICSAND COUGH SYRUP. A STOOL SOFTER AND A FLEET ENEMA. SOME PEPTO FOR THE TUMMY ACHE. HOW LONG IS THE KID WITH CYSTIC FIBROSIS GOING TO LAST ON THIS REGIINE? WHAT ABOUT THAT OTHER HYPOTHETICAL ID WHO HAD PSYCHOLOGICAL SYMPTOMS AND WAS MAYBE GIVEN A PLACEBO? OF COURSE A DRS KID WOULD GET BETTER CARE THAN THAT. ALSO- " I ONLY YELL BECAUSE I CARE! " PEACE CASSANDRA
