Guest guest
I have not tried them. I do know I have tried B12 tablets. I can't tell a difference no matter how much I take. I have wondered if the injections would help more. hugs, Debra V. Subject: B12 shots To: " FM-WLS " FM-WLS >, Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , ChronicPainSupportGroup4FamilynFriends Date: Saturday, April 19, 2008, 9:34 AM I had my first ever B12 shot when I went to the doctor on Tuesday. On Wednesday, I did not take any stimulant type med as had to wait for insurance approval, but even so, I felt a bit like I had taken some. I had energy that kept me going all morning at least. I was able to take a nap early afternoon which I wanted to do before my massage. By Thursday, I couldn't feel any difference anymore. Is this typical for others who get B12 shots? I have to decide if I want to continue them monthly or not. Jeanne in WI
Guest guest
Several years ago when I tried the Fibro and Fatigue center here, they gave me a B12 shot on the first visit and also the second visit. And as I think I have said before, between the shot, the supplements, the meds, etc. I actually felt worse after the first three weeks when I had my second appointment. And I reached the conclusion that the center was not the place for me. I have also taken B12 tablets which were the one thing out of the shopping bag of supplements, meds, etc. that I took with me when I saw my PC, that she said might be benefical. I don't know if there is any difference between the shots and the B12 tablets other than the fact that, with the shot you may get more into your system faster. But I am once again expressing my disappointment in the center. I know that there are times when I see them as a sponsor of this chat group, but I did feel much worse after I saw them (I lost so much energy in that period of time -- but the line one hears as that it is part of the detox you go through before the program works. Thanks, but no thanks. > > From: Jeanne and Dave > Subject: B12 shots > To: " FM-WLS " FM-WLS >, Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , ChronicPainSupportGroup4FamilynFriends > Date: Saturday, April 19, 2008, 9:34 AM > > > > > > > I had my first ever B12 shot when I went to the doctor on Tuesday. Guest guest
, The F&F Center sponsers this group? I didn't know that...... What exactly is being detoxed in the start of the program? I don't get what they meant by that. I'm on the program and they never had me do any detoxing. I haven't decided how I feel about them yet. Their treatment makes a lot of sense to me and many FM/CFS Dr.'s agree with and treat the same way, but I still am not doing any better. I am also furious with them right now because they no my financial situation is very desperate right now and I just figured out you can get the exact same supplements that they have online for almost 1/2 the price!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have an appt net week and I'm going to confront her about it.......I'll call her Dr. Jackasset..... Also, I emailed Dr. T and told him I'm not doing well and I have spent $$$$$$. He wants my records emailed to him so he can consult with my Dr. I'm so frustrated and depressed about it all..... Guest guest
Hi Jill, I'm so sorry your having such a hard time with everything. I don't know anything about the Fibro and Fatigue Center. (I certainly didn't know it ran this group?????????) What is their program? Supplements, including b-12. I hope it all gets straightened out soon. Guest guest
I have found that a B complex supplement helps more than just a b-12 supplement. lisa n.
Guest guest
absoulty, my doctor says by all means take the supplement by mouth and the shots once a month helps to utilize what we are ingesting.  Diane http://us.i1.yimg.com/us.yimg.com/i/mesg/tsmileys2/47.gif " > Re: B12 shots I have found that a B complex supplement helps more than just a b-12 supplement. lisa n. ------------------------------------ 1. While it is wonderful to share our experiences with everyone on the list as to what treatments do and don't work for us, pls always check with your dr. Some treatments are dangerous when given along with other meds as well as to certain health conditions or just dangerous in general. 2. If you are in a difficult situation (doesn't matter what it is) pls don't be afraid to ask for help. It is the first step to trying to make that situation better. 3. To unsubscribe the e-mail is: Fibromyalgia_Support_Group-unsubscribe 4. Also, it is not uncommon for more than one member to be feeling bad at the same time when it comes to flares and b/c of that potentially take something another member says the wrong way. And that includes the things that one member may find funny (even if it's laughing at fibro itself) even though we who deal with illness whether one such as fibro or multiple illnesses try to keep a sense of humor. 5. Pls let's be gentle with each other, and if you are having a bad day pls let us know so that we can do our best to offer our support. Have a nice day everyone. Guest guest
I've heard of some who do them every 2 weeks, but not sure about once a week. Guest guest
I do both. B12 doesn't absorb the same way as the other B vites, so that is why a separate B12 supp. is a good idea. Sublingually or by shot is the best way to absorb B12. Jeanne in WI I have found that a B complex supplement helps more than just a b-12 supplement. lisa n.
