Humm - I think I never have worn them in. I'll have to try that when I get some

extra money - they sure are pricey!

Jill,

Birkenstocks are supposed to start out hard til you break them

in (and do it slowly) and the more you use them the softer they

get and it molds to your foot. This is unlike some other kinds

of shoes that start out soft and then get harder.

I eventually want to get another pair of Birkenstock sandals but

I have no money to do that right now.

I tried on my mom's Birkenstocks and I thought they were brutally hard. I

realize they are supposed to mold to your own feet, but I was just checking them

out for softness. I could not believe how hard they were. But, I'm glad they

work so well for other people.......

I bought some crock type shoes at walgreens for $9.99. They are so comfy. I

have trouble with shoes due to my foot pain. Hope this helps.

I broke down and spent the money on the actual Crocs - the flip flop types

as well as the clog style. They help my back a lot. I guess everyone is

different but for me they seem to work, even though they are a little pricey

but I look at it as a good investment if it helps with my pain.
