Guest guest
Oh my gosh Debra! You know, some times reading what other people have experienced is like turning on a light bulb in my brain. When you mentioned that you had always required a good 10-11 hours sleep when younger, I felt this " AH HA! " moment that yes, this condition has been with me for a long time. A lot of you have been saying how long you have had fibro and I'm always sitting here wondering how long I have had it. At times like this when someone says something and I realize " oh yea, I had that too " and I realize just how long I have had this condition! Prior to this, I remember 20+ years ago when I was a non-traditional college student, I took a softball class. I was forever pulling tendons and walked around campus like an old lady! The teacher/coach would tell me to stretch out before running, but I always DID...it just didn't prevent me from hurting the already tight tendons in my legs. Shortly after that I realized I could no longer bring my right leg up to sit cross-legged. So I sort of had traced my fibro back to that time. Now, when you mention the sleep thing, it was more like 35+/- years ago...when I started needing more sleep. I thought it was just a teen thing...oh well... Anyway, I just wanted to share that. There is so much I learn about myself from what everyone here shares. I have tried to post lately, but I guess I need to go to the website in order to have it go out. Wonder where my other posts went? Whatever, thanks everyone! Vicki MN In Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , debra van ness wrote: > > Rise, I just read your post on sleeping. When I was young and had no idea that fibro was lurking, I required a good 10-11 hours of sleep a night. But at least back then, it did some good. Now it does no good at all.
