Guest guest
--- Hi Heidi and welcome to the group....Heidi I worked as dental asst. to a periodontist for 25 years doing 2-4hr. surgeries, yep 25 yrs...I'm 59 next week. Let me tell you ,I sure know the pain you are getting..shoulders, shoulder blade left side, neck pain left side, fingers going numb yet?? It's horrible. I worked that way for approx. 2yrs. after my diagnosis. You will have to make a choice sometime in the future, you simply cannot continue to work that way. I asked to be transferred to the front desk when there was an opening. I was able to work front desk part- time for another 3 years, then retired. The sitting position that you have to sit in never gives the muscles time to recover, so you stay in a constant flair. To sit like that for 8 hrs.is miserable. Does your Dr know about Fibro? If not you need to get him all the info you can to him to read. That's what I did, my Dr. had never heard of it before. I still think he thought it was all in my head, until one of his buddy's wives had it and he found out it wasn't...He was still skeptical I hope your Dr. will be willing to work with you on a schedule that you can handle. If you have any questions just ask someone will answer here, their so great here about helping anyway they can.......Hinky In Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , " heidi.pipiras " wrote: > > My name is Heidi and I was recently diganosed with Fibro in December > 2007.
