Guest guest
Jill, I'm on the 2nd week of neurontin (2 a days). Today was the first day I have felt " normal " in a long time! My low back is still spasming, so anything I do I will sit in a chair or on a stool. So far, no weight gain, but I'm a T2 diabetic and have to watch my carbs pretty closely, so all of my " snacks " are the 100 calorie ones or pre- approved by the doctor....lol. I have also started taking this horrid tasting vitamins thru univera that are supposed to help build my immunity back up. I'm willing to do it for 90 days to see if it helps. Yeah, the skin splitting was freaky. Part of that was due to an allergic reaction to an antibiotic too; thankfully DH was in the hospital room when they were examining me because they kept saying " oh you must have scratched this or that " and he was able to say " no, she didn't scratch, it just split like that! " . Then, because I was so swollen, I had hematomas on my rt foot that prevented me from wearing shoes. On some of the coldest days in Georgia, I have had to wear flip-flops! Oh well, this too shall pass. I'll keep you posted on the neurontin. So far, so good. I get a daily headache (not migraine) but I'm on coumadin for a blood clot so that may be causing it as well,I'm not sure. darlene > > Darlene, > I can't take Lyrica either It puts me in a coma like state. I can not drive when I'm on it.....it's really hard to drive when your comatose in your bed. > > I can't believe you were so swollen that your skin cracked.....yikes! > > I'm thinking of trying Neurontin again, too. I took it years ago and it helped, but it also made me gain weight.....and I'm working hard at losing weight right now. Let me know if it makes you gain weight, ok? I think it takes at least a week before you really notice a difference, so maybe in a couple of days you will feel great!! > > Jill >
