Guest guest
My pain doctor also said I needed PT 3 times a week for about 6 weeks....I told him that each visit was going to cost me $35. That's $105 a week X 6 which equals $630. I can't afford that!!! Since I am no longer working and get a small long term disability check most of that goes to medication each month. My husbands check is being stretched for our monthly bills. Not to mention the hosptial bills I have monthly agreements with that I have to pay each month. I guess they think we have money or if you have insurance we should be able to afford it! I get very frustrated and there are days I just sit and cry because I hurt so bad and it seems that a couple of my doctors have no sympathy for my pain. I understand they want to try everything they can before surgery but I think 8 months is ENOUGH!! I want to thank each of you for listening to me and allowing me to vent! I have a good support group here with my husband (who is just the most wonderful man in the world) as well as my sisters and brother and my close friends. It's times like these when you really find out who your true friends are. Guest guest
HI Debra B, So sorry you had such a bad experience with your MRI. Can understand you don't want to even go to an open MRI. The tech wasn't very nice to you either. I can understand how much pain you are in now. In 1992 I had cervical spine surgery after begging my neurosurgeon to please do it. The spinal surgery did stop that kind of pain so hope your surgery will also. Hope you can get someone to drive you to your pain management doctor. Sounds uncomfortable that you had to stop your aspirin for that visit. Take care of yourself and rest as much as possible. Guest guest
Hello again, It makes sense that you have to stop aspirin and NSAIDS for surgery since I have had several surgeries also. Glad you are more aggresive to your pain management doctor. He should give you something stronger. Hope your surgery is a big success next week. Will be happy to keep you in my nightly prayers. soft hugs, Debbie L
