i use magnesium with chelated zinc.i ge and not t spring valley as it is all

preservative free for me and is free of glutin

It's the other way around.  Mag Citrate is what they give you for 

bowel prep.  Mag Oxide has less of a laxative effect.  Magnesium 

Glycinate has less of a laxative effect than either.  That's what I 

take.  I take Magnesium Glycinate by Pure Encapsulations.  My 

osteopathic doc's office sells it, but I get it from 

www.illnessisoptional.com.  It's available elsewhere too.

A word about calcium blood levels:  it's hard to evaluate calcium 

levels by a blood test because the body will do anything to keep the 

blood level constant, including pulling calcium from the bones.  The 

PTH is a blood test that is a ratio between calcium and vitamin D 

levels, I think, that helps to tell if the body is pulling calcium 

from the bones.  If the PTH level is high, it generally means that 

either calcium or vitamin D are deficient.  As always, we should talk 

to our docs about this.
