I am so happy that your daughter is finally " getting it " . Yours, like mine,

is a " head banger " ---they only " get it " after knocking themselves into

walls a few thousand times. AND then, the light dawns and they realize that

there are consequences and always trying to have it " their way " isn' t going to

work now.

But there is obviously light at the end of the tunnel. For the moment K

seems to be seeing cause and affect, although she did blame me this morning

because SHE always picks loosers (her words). Told me if I had given her more

self confidence, she wouldn't pick losers now. I left without saying a word.

I really don't have the energy any more for this crap ! It has gotten real

old.

Wow, Jean, I think that's the point: half the things they say to us don't
