Guest guest
Yeah. It was not a fun experience. I guess I was in so much pain that I did not care though. But I am clostraphobic. It does not bother me to close the doors in a room or anything. But I remember these elevators at this hospital I use to work at. They were tiny and when I would get in I would feel like I was going to get a panic attack. And movies or anything that show someone in a coffin (like the horror films), it almost makes me want to hyperventilate just looking at the scenario. LOL. So, I don't know that I want to be buried in a coffin at all. Maybe I will choose cremation. Although I know I will not be in that body, it disturbs me to just think about it. I am wierd I guess. If I had the money I would rather be frozen or something. LOL. Anyway, what a wierd tangent I got off on. I am so silly. love and hugs, Debra V. deebs87 dlohf@...> wrote: Hey Debra V, Didn't know you had a MRI to check your bowels also. When I had one in Dec it was to check my liver and biliary tree. It was the open kind of MRI which was better. Also previously had MRIs of my shoulder and neck. Those were the standard MRI in which I kept my eyes closed, also. If I ever need another MRI will ask for an open one again. hugs, Debbie L > > Oh Debra, what an experience. That is horrible. I had an MRI once a few weeks ago. This was to look at my bowels because I got really sick with something. I did not like it either. I did not panic too much though. However, I am clostraphobic to a point. I closed my eyes because I knew it would bother me. > love and hugs, > Debra V. > > > You rock. Guest guest
I hear ya! Just the thought of being stuck on an elevator makes me crazy. When I was working, I was a guard at a local hospital part time and the other time they had me working dispatch. At this particular time I was in dispatch and I received a call from one of the elevators and this lady was on there and she said she was stuck on it. I dispatched officers and other personel to free her and kept her on the phone with me. She started freakin' out!!! She was screaming and saying I can't breathe I can't breathe, please get me out....I ended up having to call a medical assistant call so doctors and nurses would be there when she got off. There was no way I could calm her....she was praying, screaming and I even heard her one time pounding on the doors. It only took our personel about 3 minutes to get her out of there but you would have thought it was an hour. I felt really bad to her. Now when she rides the elevator she has someone on there with her. When she got off the doctors sent her to ER to get some oxygen.
