Guest guest
My surgery is Monday morning at 7:30 am and I have to be there by 6am. The person driving me would sleep til noon or later given the choice so getting up at 4:30 am is going to really suck for him. I've been waiting for this for so long, it's hard to believe it is almost here. My white cell count was up a little and I was afraid they were going to cancel it but I haven't been sick and feel fine. My the previous test also showed it a little high. I figure I either have something chronic (I don't even want to contemplate that) or maybe it is naturally high and that's why I never get sick. I actually have never even had the flu in my 37 years. My coworkers are quite jealous. I've been somewhat obsessive about this process and I think I've bought about everything you can imagine. I'm not worried about the pain. It's silly but I think the thing I dread the most is having to go 24+ hours with no water and drinking the nasty stuff for the leak test. Oh yea, and having to spend 3 days in their oh so fashionable hospital gown. I hope I don't have too much trouble laying down like I've read because I don't have a recliner to sleep in. I guess I'll just have to suck it up and deal with it. If anyone has any last minute advice, I'd be happy to hear (er, read) it. I apologize for the rambling. It's what I do when I get nervous. in MI
