Guest guest
Pam, I think there are a rare few who DO get it on the first try. It's kind of like that " unspoken " quota that cops have to get regarding speeders? Anyhow, congrats Jeanne if you got it the first go-around! We will try not to envy you too much; we know what you are going through and how you suffer so it's kind of a bittersweet victory in the long run. I'm on the hearing stage/phase. Got my 2nd denial the DAY I got dx'd with fibro, then went into the hospital for 9 days with an asthma exacerbation brought on by bronchitis; just recently spent 7 days in the hospital for a DVT (blood clot) which still hasn't dissolved. I spend 3-4 hrs daily with my legs elevated. Think any employer is going to let me do that? Oh yeah, and I'm in a wonderous flare right now - I crouched down (stupid me) to get a bag of chips out while we were making lunches yesterday and could NOT get up! If DH hadn't been home.....well, guess I would have crawled to the nearest fixed piece of furniture and worked my way up. As for the hearing, the girl I talk to at my attorney's office said 12-16 months.....sigh...... Darlene > > Hello Jeanne, > You may be the only one of a few....It took me my first denial, then an appeal, another denial, and then a request for a private hearing in front of a Federal Judge! And all this took about 4 years....I'm thankful to hear that not everyone was dragged through the paperwork H_LL, and the torment of trying not to get yourself so hopeful, because you know you can't do what you used to do for work anymore, and then when the denials come, you still sob like you lost your best friend, but when that approval letter finally comes, WHOO- HOO, It was worth it all, I think,,,,,,,HAHAHA. No, really, I haven't heard of to many that have gotten it first try, good for you~~~ > Take Care, > Pam > > > > --------------------------------- > No Cost - Get a month of Blockbuster Total Access now.
