New Member Intro -

Hi my name is and I live in the Philly Burbs of Pa.

My reason for joining the group is to be able to talk with others who live

what I live ... and hopefully learn some tips and tricks (When I read that

many of you look like Salonpas patch mummies on the home page of this group, I

KNEW I had found my tribe, lol) and information that will help me find the

right doctors and find some relief.

I have been passed around from doctor to doctor for over 2 years now and my

pain never gets any better, in fact it only gets worse. After a year of

doctors, specialist, PT, more doctors, shots, tests, MRIs etc I threw what

could

be called a tantrum in the doctor of the week's office and was FINALLY told

" oh yea you have Fibromyalgia, didn't anyone ever tell you that? " From there

I was sent to yet another doctor to physically examine me and make sure this

latest diagnosis was correct. I could not believe how painful that exam was

and cried through the whole thing. I not only have Fibromyalgia but her

sister ::grin:: Polymyalgia came along as well ... AND because that wasn't

enough fun, I beat all odds and was one of the very rare " young " women (I'm 42)

to

have a severe complication of Polymyalgia, temporal arteritis ... which also

brought blinding migraines.

Bottom line, I hurt every single day and my friends and family are wonderful

and they try so hard to understand and make it better for me, but they can't

do either and I desperately need to find people who do understand what I go

through every day to talk to before I go completely insane.

Thank you for letting me join your family ... I am really looking forward to

getting to know all of you.
