Guest guest
I get some large ones too it. Some of the big ones do need to be drained (I have had a couple that was very large and hard turned out that there was blood draining into it that started to clot that causes alot of pain if they are not cut open to get the blood clots out) but the tucks pads work better then the ointment does to help the pain. It also helps after you go and use the pads to lay down to get the pressure off of it and the pain goes away faster usualy only takes 5-10 mins for the pain to go away then. Guest guest
Oh gosh....I have this problem & it's so miserable & embarrassing! I use Prep H & I also find that hot baths help soothe the area. I've never seen the doctor for my hemorrhoids....I've always been nervous about what they would do. They get pretty bad & bleed a lot. > > I have a quarter size hemorrhoid that is making me miserable, from cheap toilet paper I guess, after a bout with IBS. Does anyone else have this, and what do you do for it? I have generic Prep H..and it's not working. > Mickey/IL > > > I'm not stuck,I'm just ancestorally challenged. > > --------------------------------- > Be a better friend, newshound, and know-it-all with Yahoo! Guest guest
Oh, you betcha! In my opinon, Prep H is junk. I use generic Tucks pads to shrink them. If the itching is unbearable, I use 1% hydrocortisone gel on them. In the past, I used Anusol suppositories as well, but haven't needed them in years. HTH. Guest guest
Me too. I had a " thrombosed hemorrhoid " one time. It is a hemorrhoid with a blood clot in it. I had to have it lanced by the doctor and it was PAINFUL! The doctor said then that I must be able to tolerate a lot of pain because grown men have been brought to tears by those suckers. I never thought of the hydrocortisone gel. Thanks. Guest guest
I can can guarantee you could hear my response on the lunar surface if I had a " lancing " of this nature. I already had a golf ball sized sebaceous cyst lanced, the messed up part was when the doctor told me, " alright,...grab on to something " . Guest guest
I once had a hemorroid injected by a surgeon during an office visit. I had to kneel in a special chair so he could get up close and personal with my butt - talk about embarassing. Then I had to go back to work after that. I was a bank teller at the time, so I just stayed on my feet the rest of the day, no sitting for me. Jeanne in WI Oh gosh....I have this problem & it's so miserable & embarrassing!
