Guest guest
This is the first time I have had a major virus since surgery. I have been coughing for days which has turned my neck into one major spasm and major pain. Anyone else have this problem? Any hints on how to deal with it? I think I will take stock in the disposable heating pads. I wear them to bed every night, and wear them if I have to be on my feet much. The accident really sent my muscles into spasm. You can buy them in any pharmacy, Wal-Mart.... ThermoCare is the name of them and they have them to fit the neck area. They last 8 hours and give so much relief. Also try taking some Tylenol or Advil to help with any inflammation. If the heat doesn't work, try some ice. Hope you feel better, and I hope someone else gets some use out of the heating pads :-) Kathleen
Guest guest
I had to smile when I read this post from Kathleen... We have said the same thing about stock in ThermaCare... They are really great....I wear them to bed some nights...around the house some days... If anyone hasn't seem them, they are really neat...They attach to the affected body part with adhesive and work for about 8 hrs. They have a few different shapes/sizes.... My daughter said that she has seen generic ones at CVS, I think. I haven't searched these out as of yet...They do frequently have coupons available for the Therma ones... Here is a webpage... http://www.thermacare.com/ They still have there free offer going...That's how I started using them... Enjoy! Sally R ACM..Decompression '91... Hydro..VP shunt..2 revisions Doing GREAT in Bethlehem,Pa with NO medications PS...The other thing that helps a LOT with head congestion ( My neurosurgeon recommended them) Menthol Eucalyptus cough drops... > > I think I will take stock in the disposable heating pads.
