Guest guest
---Oh gosh Jill....... We deserve the " how dumb can we be awards " Well here's my synopsis on all this. I think when we are feeling good, like having a really GOOD, we think well, I'd better take advantage of this day because I don't know when I'll be able to, wash, mop, scrub, do laundry, clean under stove & frig, wash the windows , clean the cat poop etc. again, it may be next week it may be next year. So we who are cleaning fanatics to begin & with jump at the chance to get in there and CLEAN. Then we suffer.... and we know we're going to suffer... and we say why, why, was I so intent on doing this???? Because we don't know when we will get another chance to clean and we LOVE clean.....make sense? don't be to hard on yourself just rest tomorrows another day and then by Wednesday it will be starting to be better. With me I suffer at least 2 really bad days then it lightens up. I'm with ya girl. Soft hugs ....Take care...Hinky In Fibromyalgia_Support_Group , " Jeanne and Dave " wrote: > > Hi Jill - I think I'd be dead if I did all that you did. I liked Provigil a lot, too, but we are still searching for the perfect energy med for me. I hope you have recovered somewhat by now. Take care. > Jeanne in WI > > > Well, Hinky, now I'm the dumb one. I washed walls/baseboards, washed windows, vacuumed and mopped, cleaned the bird cage, scrubbed out the cat box, scopped the dog poop, wiped down the entire kitchen, cleaned out the fridge, cleaned behind/under the fridge, sprayed off the back patio, did 6 loads of laundry, cleaned the bathrooms, vacuumed under furniture AND now I think I'm going to die. Every inch of my body is screaming!!!!!! I have know idea what got into me and why I over did it to the extreme when I knew what would happen. I must say I LOVE PROVIGIL!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It helps my fatigue so much, it's unreal!! It makes it a little easier to deal with all my horrible pain. But not this pain. I feel so miserable and now I need to go take a shower and take my twins to their swim lessons. All I want to do is crawl into bed and put the covers over my head until tomorrow. I need to learn that Provigil will tend to make me over do it. > > ~Jill > >
Guest guest
You know what it is, don't you? It's because we feel guilty when our major accomplishment for the day was to take the kids to school and back, or make a pot of coffee or shower. So on a day when we wake up and our hands work like they should and our back isn't throbbing and our legs don't feel like jelly or electrified and walking isn't painful, we say " hmm, I'm going to dust the living room. " Well dusting the living room means we have to vacuum the living room and since we have the vacuum out, we go ahead and do all the rooms that have carpet. Well, now our living room and possibly our bedrooms looking good and we look down at the kitchen floor and say " omg, look how filthy that is! " So we pull out the bucket and mop and get to work on the floor that has multiple layers of dirt (or in my case georgia red mud). There! Now our floor is nice and clean. Then we notice that the kitchen hasn't been thoroughly " wiped down " with anything, just got lots of kisses and promises. So we pull everything out on the counters and spray and scrub until everything gleans. We take a break to pee and notice that the shower is filthy and the toilet's ring is 2 " all the way around. We finish with our business and start on the bathroom. The Ring is going to take awhile so we use the stuff with bleach in it. We use our scrubbing bubbles in the shower/tub and take down our shower curtain and toss it into the washing machine so it gets the mold and mildew off. By now it's 3pm and (if there are munchkins) kids start coming home. So there are snacks and lunches and homework. Oh yeah, don't forget about dinner! So yes, we do it to ourselves, but we have to remember, most of this stuff that takes us forever now to accomplish we used to be able to do in 2-3 hours by multitasking. I know I can't multitask like I used to; I forget what other task I'm working on a lot of the times! So don't beat yourselves up ladies. Make a schedule on the calendar of which room will get the " rock star glitz treatment " and stick with that one room. If you feel up to it the next day, go to the next one on the list! And if all else fails, call in a maid service *or* see if a young teen (possibly in your youth group if you go to church) would like to earn some extra $ by helping you with stuff you cannot do. It could possibly also be a good service project for the youth! Darlene > ---Oh gosh Jill....... We deserve the " how dumb can we be awards " > Well here's my synopsis on all this.
