, you are just because someone is related by blood doesnt neccessary make

them love and accept each other. I have freinds be more of a family to me than

my own family at times.there is all kinds of family. We all need each other.

When my estranged parents hit the skids, my father was in ill health

from cigarette cancer, and my -3rd- stepmother was slammed with

Multiple Sclerosis when she was 38yrs old.

I did what I could for them, I bought them a used car so they could go

to Dr appointments, gas, groceries, I spent the night several times

when my father's health was really bad.

This is part of the reason my wife and I are in bankruptcy.

In the end his excessive abuse burned the last bridge behind him and

the cancer he has worked so hard for all his life will finally take him.

I had already spent enough of my years dealing with his

self-destructive behavior and I had a marriage and a new baby to

attend to.

Neither of my two " Stoner " sisters helped out during this time, I

haven't seen one since the early 90's and the other since 1999.

Simply being related to someone does not make a family.

The caring, sharing, and willingness to listen makes family.
