Guest guest
Hi Wenzdai- Believe it or not, when one is swimming laps, a pool that is too warm can end a good workout really fast. I know this because years ago when I was a very thin mother of three, I decided to take swimming lessons at the local YMCA. No meat on my bones, froze in the regular pool. So the instructor took me over to the baby pool, which was warmer, and did my instruction there. When I built up my swimming abilities somewhat, I returned to the regular pool and began swimming laps, eventually swimming a mile at a time, working out with the lifeguards. You can get really warm working out aerobically in the water, as your body sustains your heightened heart rate and your muscles are working hard. So what seems cold to us is perfect if one is doing an aerobic workout, whether water aerobics or swimming.
