Hey Teri- I just wanted to say Thankyou for your info. I knew the hair

things bother my head sometimes, even barrets, I will get a all over sore head,

but the other helpfull hints you listed, this was great, I wondered about the

muscle tension, and when it finally releases could this cause this feeling, I

also get sore heads and scalp tenderness, but Dr.never could pin point, as one

time it was so bad the head pain, they sent me into a CT scan, and I thought

sure I had a anerysum and was horrified, but it is I am almost sure what you

have listed which makes me feel better, Oh everything but the scalp fungus etc.

I know when I am in a big flare-up my head will also act up like this. Thanks

again. Hope you lighter days ahead.

I have been a licensed hairdresser for what feels like one hundred

years!

A)is your hair long enough to pull into a ponytail, if so you need to

stop and wear it down for awhile. You can actually make your head

sore from the tension as well as the device you use to pull your hair

up can cause severe hair breakage

B)you should see a dermatologist this could be a fungus infection of

the scalp, possibly the start of shingles of the scalp or another

dermatitis condition.

c)have you had your thyroid as well as any other blood test done

lately this very well could be a chemical imbalance.

d) muscle spasms in the neck and head will cause sore spots also when

the muscle finally relaxes.

I hope these suggestions help, but I would definitely seek another

opinion if the meds your DR prescribed do not help.

I did forget to mention I have the same problem from tight ponytails

and severe muscle spasms in the right side of my neck that will

actually hurt to the very top of my head....I have lots of other

medical issues along with FM. I will go into them another day...today

is not such a good day for me.

Have a great day all!
