Guest guest
Here's what I sent, it was about child support. Good luck on THAT one. But it's still important to follow through. The post: But at least once child support has been ordered, he is responsible, whether a garnishment is in place or not. The garnishment is good and hopefully she'll get some money out of it. But the arrears continue to accrue. This means that she can get intercept any tax refund he gets (assuming he files taxes; often non-custodial parents won't file if they're entitled to a refund and there's no penalty. They just lose the refund amount if they don't file within three years.) After a period of time, she can also have existing arrears reduced to a judgment amount (will continuing to rack up additional arrears), and interest will accrue on that judgment amount, usually at 12% per annum. He'd the kind to hit the damn lottery. So then at least she could collect against THAT. Kelley cascorsam@... wrote: Kelley I sent one to you too that never made it yesterday.
