NCC/ CAN you help PLEASE - Operation Santa

Wishes And Rainbows is in real need of some Santa aides guys ..Chip is sooo

right !

Many of you have written over and over saying you'd want to know if I ever

needed help - NOW is an excelent time to come though ( tehehe ) . Please

visit us at http://wishesandrainbows.org - look for Santa at the bottom and

bring a big smile to a child who is in need .

I jumped at the chance to be involved in the formation of Wishes and Rainbows

KNOWING how difficult it can be to mannage finacially to get to care with

chiari and KNOWING FIRST HAND the challenge holiday times present too . We (

the officers of W and R ) are strugling to find resources for both the

parents and children being new as an organisation .

We have 24 children on the list ...sucess in an odd sad way ...GRAMMY was

right our own familys are strugling hard . We are new and don't have the

resources ON OUR OWN to meet this need but many of the requests are small -

YOU could help make that differance by spending little and truly make this a

year where those children wake with delight for a day ...those same gifts may

keep a child WARM in the winter cold ...or entertained on long trips to appts

..

This can relieve a parents anxiety that they can't provide more than a card

and hug and reasurance the lights and heat will still work .

For that matter we have parents in need of help with thier power bills -

help paying for medication - help to get addaptive equipment beyond the costs

of what the ASAP Bobby funds will cover ect. too ! $ are a wonder to us

at this point - we get excitied when nickles arrive .

You could also send a donation dirrected to one of those adults who's not a

kid anymore but in desperate plight . THREE familys ( adults ) are in

desperte circumstances NOW where independance and dignity are on the table

in their appplications . If we can cover pain medication just think and

remember what a gift that would be ! ( Or those meds even more necessary to

keep the member alive. ) A big donation or two could keep these familys from

the ranks of the homeless . ( OR lots of small donations - tehehe - it truly

does add up !! )

So if you've written a note offering to help ME anytime I had need ...KNOW

this is dear to my heart - and consider if you could send a small ( OR LARGE

_ LOL ) gift to wishes and rainbows ...you'd cheer me BIG TIME if you did :-)

I dream of warm coats and cute mittens on OUR kids heading for school , of

bikes and trikes where they can exercise and stay healthy , and of small

action figures from the movies with two brothers entertained for hours /day

after day growing strong healthy brains in their play !! -- - and yep I'm

having nightmares we won't have much to send these same kids too !

ONE childs mom has ONLY one wish --something each of us can give with so

little effort ..ONLY a hearfelt prayer for her childs health :-) Cards to

this mom would be so awesome - let her know your among those who care and are

praying for her baby .

something, or you can be a player on the field and BE someone who's

doing something. "

IF you ment what you said when you wrote me offering that help if I needed it

- saying if you could ever do something to help me out in return just ask

/...NOW is a great time far as I'm concerned - an opertunity where you could

make that huge differance in a childs life and memorys during their familys

very difficult times . If you can afford a stamp - you can design a card

online or use crayons and a paper bag ..but please consider can't you be

among those helping now ?

Thanks Chip ...I've been feeling a bit shy about asking myself ...you got me

stired up remembering ALL of the folks who have offered in the past -- I'm

hoping the mailman won't be able to stuff everything in the box !

PS ...instant cameras with a gift certificate to have photo's developed would

be an awesome mom or dad gift too ...kids grow up fast ..those memorys and

pictures last a lot longer ! I'd love it if these parents could send us

pictures of their child with the new coat /mittens and a snowball in hand ,

astonished glee during a first ride as training wheels came off a bike ...or

a pretty dress with sparkling jewels in their hair and a smile of joy as wide

as those muscles can stretch !
