Guest guest
I don't like that feeling of losing control and not being able to breathe is one of those feelings! I have been fortunate that I haven't had to use my rescue inhaler lately, although it is always close by. Twice, while I was at my sickest, I had to have one of the kids go get DH because I was coughing so much that I couldn't get out what I needed. He understood " purse " and after about 4-6 puffs, I was able to " talk " again. Folks tend not to take their asthma seriously and it really can be a life and death situation. I had no idea as I may have mentioned before that when I was hospitalized for it in January that my walk in oxygen level was only 80% and I was in respiratory distress. I think that's because I tend to be one of those people who don't panic until after the crisis!
