WELCOME, Sharon and congratulations on your pregnancy. Do you by any chance

also have cervical spinal stenosis? Also, I would be very leery about

taking pain meds while pregnant. My daughter was told that it was ok for her

to

be on the pain meds that her drs. had her own during her 5th and last

pregnancy and the baby was born addicted. You will love this group and I hope

to

hear more from you and about your pregnancy. When are you due?

Love and gentle hugs,

Hi everyone!

My name is Sharon and I'm new to this group. I'll give a little

background so you can get to know me a little. I am 33 years old and

married to the most wonderfully supportive husband in the world. I

have 2 children and 1 on the way due in July. I was diagnosed with

Fibro about 6 years ago. I also have Crohn's Disease and Degenerative

Disc Disease. I have alot of pain in my neck due to buldging discs

and the Fibro. I had broken my back at L5-S1 in 2002 and ended up

having a spinal fusion that made the pain worse instead of better. I

do go through a Pain Management Clinic to keep up with the pain. I'm

currently on Lyrica, oxycodone, morphine and flexeril for pain. Then,

I take other meds for the Crohn's as well. I have been disabled since

the back injury in 2002 and struggle daily to manage the pain,

especially with young children and now pregnancy. I'm sure some of

you are worried if it's safe to take these meds while pregnant and as

far as my doctors tell me they are. I was able to already have 1

healthy child while on them. These horrible diseases forced me to

lose everything I had worked so hard for like my career so I refuse

to give up my dream of a family too. I would never be able to make it

through pregnancy if not for the support of my doctors and family.

Well, that's the just of my life right now. I'm happy to be apart of

this group and hope to gain many friends and support. I also hope I

can help support someone else in the process. Thanks for this

opportunity!

-Sharon

Grab a side rider from when the babe arrives so you can carry them without pain.
