Yes, Marg, I had a real problem with this. I would have a bad week prior to

getting my period and it would stay that way until my period was over. So it

was 1/2 of each month. This is why my PCP put me on the pill for 9 weeks on/1

week off. It confuses the hormones and things are more leveled off. But at

your age, it probably doesn't make sense to begin this. My PCP said I can

remain on the pill until age 50, and then we try going off and see what happens.

Even though I only get 5 periods a year, I really hate being a woman at those

times. Know just what ya mean.

does anyone else notice this?

my only couple good days are mid and end of cycle...when hormones are low,

eventho i don't think i will be having anymore cycles. i am 49.

god i wish i was born a male!

i can't remember i had a hysterectomy, but i can tell you this since being off

hormones I believe things did get worse. and now i am being treated for

diabetes. and when i have the hot flashes i take my blood sugar and it is over

210 and has pushed 299.
