Guest guest
Jill, I very well may have some neuropathy. Probably is. ONCE.... it turned to horrible burning pain that swayed back and forth to tingling and numbness. It lasted about 4 weeks or so. It was right before I was diagnosed and was the primary symptom I sought help for at the time. Thinking it was carpal tunnel, I started finding docs to help with it. That is when I soon found out it was fibro. Anyway, thankfully, since that one flare 5 years ago, my hands have never hurt like that again. My sister's boss does not really bother me when I think about it. I have not ever met him. Maybe never will. But, hey, we live with this kind of stigma everday from someone. It really does not matter. I was pissed at first. But then I just thought, well.... I guess alot of people don't believe us and we just have to accept that for now until they prove this. And if I was on the other side of the fence, who knows, I might be stupid enough to doubt it myself. Although, I really don't think I would. I would have more compassion for someone and would ask more questions to learn about the illness. love and hugs, Debra V. jill larion jilllarion@...> wrote: Deb, Did you see my email about neuropathy? It's very common with fibro and can come and go for no reason. I agree with you that it is not Raynaud's. It is most likely is some type of neuropathy. Do you just have numbness or do you have pain with it? You need to feel sorry for you sister's boss. Someone who is ignorant and arrogant about his beliefs truly needs to be pitied. He is close-minded and has no empathy. Plus, someone who would disrespect his employee's sister in such a cold way can't be happy. Just imagine how he treats his wife and kids. I'm sure he is not respected by others and most probably despise him. Don't let someone like that hurt your feelings. He's the one that needs help and will probably die a lonely old man. If he brings it up, tell him you won't discuss your illness with close-minded people and question his ethics on disrespecting his employee's sister regardless of his beliefs. Tact and respect is vital in a work environment and remind him that his is lacking. Turn it around on him.....you don't need to waste your precious energy trying to convince a moron fibro is real. Jill Re: MIckey The PA-C said she'd tested for it on the last six blood tests, and if she couldn't find it..I didn't have it..her words. Very arrogant woman. Believes her own press. Blah She works for a doctor who is 71 who should not be practicing..he has as bad a short term memory as I do due to a major auto accident almost 20 years ago. He lets her roam free. My rheumatologist..a very good doctor..found it first test..she did not have me on an anti-inflammatory..I was on low power darvocet.. Nov.05 I began a hellish journey with a viral infection she refused to treat..says I can't..bulloney..a friend of mine had the same V.I. and he still..wound up paralyzed. Attacked his nervous system and spinal area. I am lucky..I just wound up with short-term memory loss..a chunk of long term memory gone..vertigo..and..the fibromyalgia. Lovely..I left her in July 06..I didn't get over this infection til around September that year. My rheumatologist hates this PA-C..he found out..she had never given me a 24 hour urine collection..he said should be every year..the last urinalysis I had to think about..I use word-association as I forget words even..I recalled it was when my sister was in the nursing home..I said 2000. He almost growled. He said this should happen 2-3 times a year! Neuropathy is numbness in hands and feet..it..kills the nerves..my hands are detiorating because of it. People say Oh..you have diabetes??? Noooo... __________________________________________________
