Thanks Debra! I spoke with my husband last night and he agrees that I should set

the hearing and attend with the attorney from Allsup. I think I am also going to

personally retrieve all of my medical records from last June and review them

myself and have them ready when I attend the hearing. I want to know what they

based their decision on. I didn't get much sleep last night and have gotten up

this morning with a horrible headache. I know I will end up in a flare soon and

that just makes me angry!!

Debra,

They automatically reject I think it is 80% of the cases. Then some appeal. then

the reject another 75-80%. Then you move to a hearing. That is where I am at.

There are people with terminal conditions that are rejected and died either

prior to their hearing or just after because of the way this works. It is not

fun and very stressful and they expect people to give up so then it is one less

person recieving benifits that they see as free money.

I think it is easier to get ssi because it is income based. I don't qualify for

it because my husband has a pension from his job and I have a tiny retirement

fund and a 403b which is for non-profits. I can't get it yet because I'm too

young and the tax penalty is outrageous. Basically, most of it would go to taxes

because of the penalties and it will be taxible and I am younger so it will be a

higher amout of tax. Man it doesn't pay to get sick.
