First.....Lyrica can people differently or NOT AT ALL..... I participated in the " Trial Study " here in Ocala, Florida when they were first experimenting with it..... The only reason they took me off ALL my pain medications, including Celebrex, was to make sure that the Meds were or were not helping.... The other medications would have masked their results...... Well, at the end of the " STUDY " ...I found out I was on a 'PLACEBO' .... 'cause ..... like WOW did it make me " STUPID " ..... It took about 5 days to effect me that way with NO pain relief!!!! PLUS...the " dry mouth " was terrible!!! Anyway....Yes, you can still take you pain meds, I sure as HELL do.....could not make it through a 24 hour period without 'something'.... Maybe one day we can all get together and put a face to a name. I was dx a few months ago, the doctor started me on Lyrica, I have a follow up appt. April 7th, am going to ask for some strong pain medication, any advise from anyone out there would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. It doesn't hurt it helps to control the pain and that's what we want to be...pain free....
