Guest guest
Hi Cheryl- Cymbalta is supposed to be very good for both pain and depression, also maybe help with sleep. I tried it but had horrible side effects immediately; I was realy dissapointed cause my doc had built it up as some great thing that was gong to help all my symptoms improve. I also was on neurontin, ya know I don't even remember why, it is a seizure med but I think they were giving it to me as a mood stabaliser (I was hospitalized at the time and it was years ago so that's why I'm so foggy about it)- Neurontin also gave me bad side effects after about two weeks of feeling 'spacey' I started to feel like I had 'flu', but no fever, and my doc took me off it right away. Guest guest
Hi Cheryl I am on the same dose of cymbalta as you and I am doing better with it,I can for sure tell if i miss a dose. as far as Neurontin, I had gotten up to 1500 mgs a day and the spasms were better but my thought process were affected and my memory got really bad. So i don't take the neurontin anymore. It is an anti seizure med. but when given for muscular problems it acts to disrupt the chemical connection between nerve signals and muscles. a jummbling effect so that the muscles don't contract so much. My husband has epilepsy and couldn't take it due to the fact he was like a zombie on it. Guest guest
I HAVE BEEN ON BOTH CYMBALTA, NURONTIN, ALSO BEEN ON ELAVIL, CELEBREX AND MANY MORE MEDS AND NEVER HAD ANY RELIEF. FOR ME THE MOST RELIEF I HAVE HAD WAS WITH THE FENTANYL PATCH AND OTHER PAIN MED. THEN I CAN WALK. NOTHING ELSE HAS HELPED. HUGS KJ
