Guest guest
Hey, ya'll, I'm a ya'ller too. I live in the south was raised in the south and sure didn't know there was another way to you all...Hey, is another way to say hi. We always say hey as we pass each other down here, stangers and all. There are so many southern sayings that I grew up with and thought it was " proper english " that when I found out differnt it was a real shocker...LOL One time I was a clerk in a dept. store and someone asked me if I could help them (I was a teenager then) and I said no mama, I'm all covered up at the moment. Well, she looked at me like I was from mars...Later my supervisor said don't tell people that, that don't know what all covered up means their from the north. I asked well what do I say then? She said tell them your busy right now and will be with them in a minute...Oh Gosh " Being all covered up " means to me that you are up to you elbows in work....LOL So all you ya'ller's have another one in the group.....Hinky
