Guest guest
Yes, and Lyrica should be taken on a routine basis because if you just take it sometimes, it won't work. It has to build up blood levels to stay effective. It just happens to be effective for pain for some reason they don't really understand yet. It was originally just a new seizure med. Also, I would be leary of stopping it suddenly or decreasing the dose suddenly. It might cause seizures to withdraw it that quickly even if you are not prone to seizures.... due to the brain chemistry it works on. love and hugs, Debra V. Lyrica as I understand is something you have to keep constant in your system or it will not work. I can actually tell a difference on the Lyrica...I have been on it since Dec. I just got upped to 100mg 3x's per day. > > Hi, All. > > Regarding a lot of the posts about Lyrica, I think some of you are a bit confused on what it is and what it is used for. > > Lyrica is an Anti-seizure medication, NOT a " pain pill " . My skin used to feel like it was on FIRE, also. The Lyrica has helped relieve those symptoms for me. I have worked up to 300 mg. a day and that seems like the appropriate amount for ME. Every one is different. > > Anyway, I hope this clarifies the use of Lyrica for Fibro for those of you who are wondering. > > Take care. > J in East Northcentral Minnesota > http://sisypheanranch.blogspot.com/ > 'Life isn't about how to survive the storm, but how to dance in the rain.' > >
