Cassandra,

Your description sure sounds as if you should have a sleep study. As

to the surgical route, it is my impression after a lot of reading

that this is a last resort when nothing else works. No you are not

being irrational - none of us want to be hooked up to a machine the

rest of our lives. I have been fighting my CPAP machine for about a

month now but I do use it most every night, all night. My problem so

far is that I can't get my Dr or respiratory therapist to try

anything else. (different mask, different machine etc.) They keep

telling me that I just have to adjust to it. The only nights that I

haven't used the CPAP and oxygen are the 2 nights that I tried oxygen

alone and 1 that I used nothing so I could get some sleep.
