Guest guest
Cassandra, Your description sure sounds as if you should have a sleep study. As to the surgical route, it is my impression after a lot of reading that this is a last resort when nothing else works. No you are not being irrational - none of us want to be hooked up to a machine the rest of our lives. I have been fighting my CPAP machine for about a month now but I do use it most every night, all night. My problem so far is that I can't get my Dr or respiratory therapist to try anything else. (different mask, different machine etc.) They keep telling me that I just have to adjust to it. The only nights that I haven't used the CPAP and oxygen are the 2 nights that I tried oxygen alone and 1 that I used nothing so I could get some sleep.
