Yes it is very emotionally painful.  I can share anything with this person but

my horror of fibro.  I guess she just thinks I am a hypochondriac and accepts me

as one.  Then again, you have to think, is a friend REALLY a friend if they

don't believe you when you say how ill you are?????  Oh well.

I have to respond to this. I also have a coworker who doesn't really

understand. She told me at an evaluation that she was tired of me

talking about my pain. I didn't think I talked about it much at all,

except when asked. Then I realized that she would be one to ask me

how I feel every so often. Since then, when she asks (which she

continues to do even after her statement about not wanting to hear

about it) I just say 'fine' or 'good' as far as how I'm feeling.

Inside I wonder why she is even asking. Oh well, just wanted to let

you know that I hear you on this one!

Doubly hard though, is that you consider this coworker a friend. I

guess it makes it easier for me since mine is not.
