Darlene - Are you sure it was IV tramadol and not IV toradol? I ask because I

don't know if tramadol is available through an IV, and I got IV toradol after

surgery in the hospital. Toradol is an anti-anflammatory, but given through the

IV, shouldn't cause the GI problems that other NSAIDS do.

What about tramadol? I know that they gave it to me in my IV when I was in the

hospital, but it did WONDERS for my pain! I know that they have it in pill form

too.

I need a good anti-inflammatory med for break-thru pain caused by my swelling.

I can't take naproxen, it messes with my kidneys too much. But I don't know what

else to take!

Jeanne,

It could have been toradol...lol...I was in so much pain, I might not

have heard correctly! I wonder though if tramadol would help me some

with the break-thru pain; I don't want to take darvocet all the time!
