Guest guest
Glad the MRI is over. No, I don't blame you. I know what you mean about having company. It is woderful in some ways and we love to visit and see family. BUT, on the other hand, we are not normal people and it takes alot more energy to try to visit and entertain company. I hear where you are coming from. Try to take it easy. Maybe they will understand if you have to go and lay down when you need to. love and hugs, Debra V. herbaladysfriends@...> wrote: All went well. I was in alot of pain but did not care cause of the 10 mg of valium and pain meds. Now to get the results Monday. and Tim are doing the shopping right now. Wow prayers must be working cause I feel like this is the wrong family. Must be dreaming. I like having this help though. His brother, wife and little boy are here for a few days in Dallas, so I will have to entertain them too and I am not really up to it. I did not get much notice from hubby about this. Not looking forward to it healthwise. I am looking forward to seeing them, just not up to activities. I don't know what to do? This is just bad timing. Tim and his brother are going to Nascar on Sunday, leaving his wife and boy here. Am I being a bugger? Well I am gonna relax while I have the chance. I will check in later. Guest guest
Well, I would just be polite and say you aren't in shape to be running around. If she is a nice person, she will understand and not expect you to. Hopefully, you can just sit and relax and have a nice visit. I'm glad the MRI went well. Take it easy. Perhaps there is some place close where you, s-i-l and nephew can go -- even if it's a mall --- look for one that has either the chair massages that they usually charge about $20 or so for 15 minutes, or one of the ones that really are chairs that you drop several quarters in for a massage of your back (or find that one store that always has them sitting at the from of the store and they will let you sit as long as you want. Test a sleep number bed. Find a bigger mall with a book stores where you can go sit in a chair reading, snoozing as long as you want --- DH and I both do that when one of us is finished shopping. > > >

Guest guest
, I am curious about where you live? We are moving to a community of 20,000 but there is a large university that has a student population of anywhere from 20,000 to 25,000 students and as alumni, we can do a number of things at a reduced price. Same with some things at the area Junior colleges. And we will be 25 minutes from a train station in the college town that has two trains a day that we can take to Chicago. Once in Chicago, transit passes are $3 or $4 a day and that gets you all over the place --- if you go out to some of the suburbs, you may have to add a bit more, but the amazing thing was that I ordered us passes for 2006, forgot to pack them and discovered they expired on Aprl 1st, 2008! I just hope I mailed them to a friend in time that someone got the benefit of them! But it could be that I have spent the last 15 years in 2 major cities and prior to that, I had lived in 3 major cities for well over 20 years. But I know places I can go all over the midwest. And I still am planning the trip to the Grand Canyon in memory of my special friend -- I found a birthday card tonight with a letter she had written and I am amazed at what she was doing despite her on again off again cancer treatments. > > Wow, ya'll have so much to do in Dallas there should be no way to have > a hard time showing someone around!! Guest guest
, I live in a little town in southwest Arkansas. Not much here but I stay because the schools are excellent and my kids have grown up here. Hopefully when my daughter graduates in 2009 and then goes to college I can move to Texarkana,TX... that town is larger but still close enough that I can drive back and forth to work. lisa n.
