It states there is a postoperative pseudomeningocele extending from the occiput to c2, status post suboccipital craniectomy for Chiari malformation. Now i picked up my record today and my Nsg dictation states: I reviewed mandies myelogram/post myelogram CT and this shows no evidence whatsover of a pseudomeningocele but rather a simple patulous sac secondary to her duraplasty at the cervicoccipital junction. My Nsg finally called me last night and stated " Its confusing because it looks like this psuedomeningocele but they cant find a leak.
