I have figured out that if I don't take control and be aggressive then who is? Most doctors don't see you as a person, they push you through these clinics like cattle going through a sale barn. If YOU don't take control no one will!!! Now this isn't to say that some doctors aren't sensitative to our needs, but they are very hard to find. I am fortunate to have a very caring Primary Doctor and my Neurologist will spend all the time in the world with me as long as I have questions. He has even sat with me and given me tissue as I sat and cried because of the pain. My pain management doctor is coming around to that because I have become aggressive in my own care. I am hoping that since I have taken myself off the asprin that somthing can be done next week or the following week. If I had not then I would have to wait a week for something to be done. I have been in severe pain with my back since early last Fall and it's time for me to have something done besides the steriod injections, which don't do anything for me except help me to gain weight, whcih I don't need to do.
